Jesse Calvon BRYAN, of 2307 Perkins Avenue, died at 5:35 a.m. today at the 
Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 79 years and seven months.  Funeral 
services will be held at Myers Chapel.  Burial will be in the South Hickory Hill 
cemetery. 
Mr. Bryan, a retired riviter at the Mt. Vernon car shops, was born December 
25, 1888, in Jefferson county, the son of John and Ella (OAKLEY) Bryan.  In 
1908 he married Lillie SHIRLEY, who survives.  Other survivors include a 
daughter, Grace HIGHSMITH of Chicago; two brothers, George Bryan of Mt. 
Vernon and Frank Bryan of Villa Grove, Ill.; a grandson; and three great grandsons.
