Kirby Leroy BURCHELL, 77, of 510 S. 18th St., died at 8:55 p.m. 
yesterday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a carman in the wood 
erect department of the former Mt. Vernon Car Shops. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at MYERS Chapel, 
with the Rev. J. Howard KRAPS officiating. Burial will be at Hams Grove Cemetery. 
Mr. BURCHELL was born in Spring Garden on Aug. 24, 1897, the son of James 
Frank and Lou(ROBINSON) BURCHELL. He was a member of the Brotherhood 
of Railway Carmen of America Lodge No. 423. He is survived by one daughter, 
Mrs. LUTHER(Wanda Lee) Rowe, Madison, Wis.; one granddaughter, Mrs. 
Michael BREMSER, Madison, Wis.; and 2 great grandsons. He was preceded in 
death by his parents and one brother.
