Forrest Byard Of Urbana Died At Age 80 (Photo Included) Forrest J. Byard, 80, a former resident of Mt. Vernon, and late of Urbana, died at 12:15 a.m. Monday in Burnham Hospital in Champaign. He was a maintenance man at Mr. Vernon High School before his retirement. Mr. Byard was born in Jefferson County Sept. 5, 1901, the son of William H. and Lillian E. (Seward) Byard. On Feb. 18, 1939, in Mt. Vernon, he married Nina Wells Tittle, and she survives. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home with J. Howard Kraps officiating. Burial will follow in South Hickory Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Byard was a member of the Central Church of Christ and Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge No. 31 A. F. and A. M. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Darrell Byard of Chicago Heights and Terrell Tittle of Urbana; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Byard of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Myrtle Byard of Mt. Vernon and two nieces.
