Chas. D. Creel, 76, of Dix, Dies at Kansas City

Charles D. Creel, of Dix, died at 2:30 a.m. today in Kansas City, Mo., where he had gone
recently to spend the winter.
  Mr. Creel, a retired mail carrier, was 76 years, six months and five days of age.
  Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix and
burial will be in Jordan Chapel cemetary , east of Dix.
  Friends may call at the Osborn Funeral Home at any time after 6:00 pm. Thursday.
  Mr. Creel was the son of J.M. and Laura (Roper) Creel.  He spent his entire lifetime as
a resident of the Dix neighborhood.
  His wife Beulah, preceded him in death 12 years ago.
  He is survived by one son, Gordon Russell Creel of Dix; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma
Hawkins of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Helen McCoy of Kansas City, Mo,; one brother
W.R. Creel of Kell; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wyatt of Kell and Mrs. Bonnie Jennings of
Dix.
