William Davis - Keenes 


Funeral services for William "Guy" Davis, 78, Keenes, will be held at 
2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Bluford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Hugh York 
officiating.  Burial will be in Mateer cemetery.

Mr. Davis died at 1:30 a.m. Monday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.  he 
was a retired farmer.

Friends may call at the Bluford Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Davis was born in Wayne County on Feb. 20, 1892, the son of William 
jack and Mag Rae (Fisher) Davis.  He was married to Jessie (Shelton) 
who preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Keenes Christian 
church.

He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Georgia Jackson, Wayne City; Miss 
Treesia Davis and Mrs. Orpha Lacey, both of Mt. Vernon.

He was precededin death by his parents, his wife, one brother and one 
sister.

(Davis-Mateer) Cemetery in Four Mile Twp, Wayne Co, IL.
