Della Pigg Bentley Dedman
Mrs. Della Dedman, 79, of 2204 Logan St., and more recently of the Jeffersonian Nursing Home, 
died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hughey Pulley Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. Ross Partridge officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Dedman was born Oct. 11, 1895, in Jefferson county, the daughter of Graneville and Francis Pigg.
She was first married in 1913, to Albert Bentley. In 1916, she married Elliott (Jack) Dedman, who 
died May 20, 1960.
Mr. And Mrs. Dedman operated Dedman's Grocery on the Tolle Road for several years.
Mrs. Dedman attended the Hopewell Church.
Survivors include a son Fred Dedman, Mt. Vernon Police Chief; three grand-daughters, 
Mrs. Louis (Linda) Helsing, Woodlawn, Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Liles, Waltonville, and 
Mrs. Roger (Carolyn) Glasco, Panama City, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dedman was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wyona Bently; three brothers; and 
three sisters.
