Christopher Columbus Fisher
Christopher Columbus FISHER, of RFD 1, Opdyke, died at 12:05 yesterday
afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. FISHER, who formerly operated
a restaurant in Mt. Vernon, was 88 years, 4 months, and 7 days of age.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ina Baptist Church.
The Rev. Riley BURTON will officiate and burial will be in Kirk Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call at any time.
Mr. FISHER was born in Franklin County on August 19, 1867, the son of Bill and
Mary (ADCOCK) FISHER. On October 13, 1886 he was married, at Benton, to Jincy McGINNIS,
who preceded him in death. Mr. FISHER was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Ewing.
He is survived by one son, Henry FISHER of Jacksonville, Ill., 3 grandchildren and
9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers,
3 sisters and one son.
