Jesse C. Fryar

Jesse C. Fryar, 60 of Elgin died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Hines, Ill.  
Mr. Fryar, a former resident of Whittington, had many friends in this community.  

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Fryar of Springfield; 
three sisters, Mrs. Emma Moore of Springfield, Mrs. Irene Waller of Mt. Carmel, 
and Mrs. Omega Coleman of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four brothers, Bill Fryar of 
Birmingham, Ala., Luther Fryar of Phoenix, Ariz., and David and Sherman Fryar 
of Whittington.  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Floyd Hartley conducting 
at the Johnston Funeral Home in Whittington.  Burial was at Hope cemetery.
