Dorothy Goddard Dorothy H. Goddard, 70, of Bluford, died 4 p.m. Feb 20, 1995, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center. She was a retired LPN nurse at the home health department of Good Samaritan regional Health Center. Mrs. Goddard was born March 1, 1924, in Bluford, a daughter of Oliver and Arzetta (Davis) Johnson. She first married Paul B. Akright in Bluford on May 28, 1948, and he died July 5, 1964. She later married David J. Goddard in Bluford on Sept. 1, 1984, and he survives. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bluford Funeral Home with Mr. J. Howard Kraps and James D. Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bluford Funeral Home. Mrs. Goddard is survived by her husband, David J. Goddard of Bluford; two daughters Gayle Hefner and husband James D. Hefner of Dahlgren, and Sherry Akright of Centralia; a son, Stephen Paul Akright and wife Debra of Bluford; and four grandchildren, John Hefner, Paul Hefner, Stephanie Akright, and Kendra Akright. She was a member of Dahlgren Community Chapel Church. In addition to her first husband, Mrs. Goddard was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
