DEATH OF MRS. GUTHRIE DUE TO PNEUMONIA 
One of Mt. Vernon's Pioneers Called Home - 
Funeral Services to be Held Friday Morning 

Mrs. Exira Guthrie died this morning at 9:15, her death being due to pneumonia. 
She was 69 years, 6 months and 16 days old and had lived most of her life in 
Mt. Vernon. 

The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10;00, at the residence, (109 or 409 ?) 
Broadway. Interment at West Salem. 

She was a practical christian. She belonged to the First M. E. church, the W. C. T. C. 
and Varnell lodge of Rebekahs. Four children survive. They are Mrs. Dick DeJarnett, 
Howell, Ind.; John and Thomas Guthrie, of this city; and Mrs. James Owens whose 
address was not learned.
