Donald Lee Huston

Donald Lee Huston, 55, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 3:27 p.m. Sunday, 
June I, 2008, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

He was born in Jefferson County on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1953, a son of 
James Albert "Jim" and Maxine Shirley (Garrison) Huston. He married 
Mary Lou Fitzjarrald on Sept. 16, 2000 in Mt. Vernon.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral 
Home in Mt. Vernon with Brother Richard Mays officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the 
funeral home.

Donald is survived by his wife, Mary Huston of Mt. Vernon; three 
daughters, Amanda Burris and husband Craig of Belle Rive, April Burns 
of Mt. Vernon and Angela Bums of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Elmer Ray 
Huston of Tennessee and James Albert Huston of Florida; three sisters, 
Shirley Jean Flanagan and husband Danny of Walnut Hill, Penny Huston of 
Florida and Irish Allison and special friend Jeff Miller of Mt. Vernon; 
inlaws, Don and Carolyn Fitzjarrald of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents and one son, Wesley Albert Huston preceded him in death.

Donald was a machinist and supervisor for Lay's Mining Service, Inc. for 26 
years and was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Huston Children Education Fund 
and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, 
P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
