Martha Kirk 

Mrs. Martha KIRK former Ina resident, died suddenly at 4:15 p.m. Sunday 
at the Lowery Nursing Home in Mt Vernon where she had been living the past 
two years. She was 87 years old. 

Mrs. KIRK was born in Jefferson County, the daughter of C. M. and Eliza (FOSTER) BROWN.  
She was married to Roland L. KIRK, who died in 1946.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Edgar KIRK of Sesser, Ray KIRK of 
Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Crete MOORE of Ewing; also one sister, Miss Malissa BROWN of 
Ina, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the ina Free Will Baptist Church, 
conducted by Rev. Riley BURTON. Burial was in the Kirk Cemetery. The body was brought 
to the Ina Funeral Home.
