Thelma Ruth (Chambliss) Knight

Thelma Ruth (Chambliss) Knight, of 1241 N. 10th, died at 11:20 
Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 63.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meyers Chapel 
with the Rev. Ross Partridge officiating. Burial will be in the Old 
Union Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Meyers Chapel, where friends may call 
after 4:00 p.m. today. 

Mrs. Knight was born on May 17, 1905, the daughter of Frank and 
Della (Shelton) Chambliss. 

She married Clarence Knight in 1930 in Benton. He survives.

Other survivers include two sons; Noel (Chambliss)of Mt. Vernon, and 
Neil Knight of Herrin; one daughter Barbara (Herbert) Denham of Woodridge; 
one sister Retha McKinney of Mt. Vernon; and eight grandchildren. 
(Her mother, Della Shelton, Chambliss, DeMent also survives)

She was preceded in death by one son (Marvin Lee Knight) and one daughter 
(Rita LaVonne Knight) and her father.
