Charlotte Caroline "Carrie" Miller
Funeral services for Mr. Charlotte Caroline Miller will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at 
the First Methodist Church, with the Rev. Clyde Todd and the Rev. Bayne Wilson officiating.  
Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home until 12:30 pm Sunday, then will be removed 
to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Miller, wife of M. E. Miller, former Mt. Vernon mayor, died at 10:30 am yesterday at 
Good Samaritan Hospital.  She had been in failing health for the past five years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the White Shrine of Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Miller was the last surviving charter member of the Union Chapel Methodist Church.  
She had been a member of the Epworth Methodist Church here since she was a young woman.
She was born October 1, 1864 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Shore) Reynar.  
The family moved to Mt. Vernon when she was an infant.
She was married in Dix, Ill., August, 1891 to Mr. Miller and they observed their 60 wedding 
anniversary last year.
Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Dr. Roy G. Miller and a daughter, Emily Miller of Mt. Vernon.
