William Harry Pickett

Mrs. Harry B. STEWART has been notified of the death of her brother-in-law, 
William Harry PICKETT, which occurred at his home in Washington, DC.  
Mr. PICKETT, who was 72 years of age, died suddenly of a heart attack at 
11 a.m. Thursday.  A former Mt. Vernon resident, Mr. PICKETT was retired.  
He was at one time employed in the Library of Congress.  Funeral services 
will be held in Washington, but plans are incomplete.

Mr. PICKETT is survived by his wife, the former Addie MARSHALL, who was a 
teacher in the Mt. Vernon grade schools for 15 years; one son Garnet PICKETT; 
and two daughters, Mrs. Alice SAPP and Miss Frances PICKETT; and 5 grandchildren, 
all of Washington; one sister, Mrs. Rosie TUCKER of Mt. Vernon; one brother, 
Dalton PICKETT of Phoenix, Ariz.
