Jesse Bowdler-Pigg, 27 years, 8 months and 17 days, of Mt. Vernon, died at 1:14 p.m.
Saturday, May 30, 2009, at his home in Mt. Vernon.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 13, 1981, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Kenneth and Teresa (Bowdler) Pigg.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3 at Hopewell Cemetery in
Jefferson County with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Interment will follow.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Jesse is survived by his mother, Teresa Bowdler of Mt. Vernon; his father, Tom Haynes and
fiancée Joyce Henry of Mt. Vernon; grandmother Sylvia Shehorn of Mt. Vernon; maternal
great-grandmother Emma Bowdler of Mt. Vernon; a son, Kayden Lee Pigg of Mt. Vernon; fiancée
Ashleigh Banes of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Nathan Pigg and wife Alecia of Mt. Vernon and
Michael Haynes of Mt. Vernon; and a sister, Megan Haynes of Mt. Vernon, several aunts, uncles,
nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Pigg; his grandmother, Jean Mayberry; and
four close friends.
Jesse worked for Sun Container Corp. in Mt. Vernon and was of the Baptist Faith.
