Rosemary Reaney

Rosemary Reaney, 70, of Mt. Vernon, died 5:55 a.m. April 5, 2007, 
at the White Oak Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Reaney was born June 16, 1936, to Leo Flanagan and Opal (Greer) Flanagan 
in Mt. Vernon. She married Delbert Reaney on Sept. 25, 1954, in Mt. Vernon and 
he preceded her in death on July 28, 1991.

She was the owner and operator of R & R Automotive and also prepared taxes 
for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon 
with the Rev. Merle Fullerton and Rev. Buck Larson officiating. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. 
Interment will be at Union Chapel Cemetery in Jefferson County. 

Mrs. Reaney is survived by three daughters, Debra Tamplin and husband Graham 
of Dix, Linda Morgan and husband Roger of Mt. Vernon, and Sandra Peer, also of Mt.
Vernon; four grandchildren, Misty Lea Morgan of St. Louis, Mo., Holly Lynn Anderton 
and husband Khorey of Mt. Vernon, Danica A. Tamplin of Dix, and Stefan Graham Reaney 
Tamplin, also of Dix; first great-grandchild to be, Lilly Rose Anderton; two brothers, 
David Flanagan and wife Lynn of Texico and Jack Flanagan and wife Cindy of Mt. Vernon; 
a sister, Betty Brenton of Mt. Vernon and a brother-in-law, Donald Ellis of Mt. Vernon. 
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her parents, husband and sister-in-law Loretta Ellis preceded her in death.

She attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, West Side Missionary Baptist Church and 
Bonnie Missionary Baptist Church.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or TIP Hospice 
and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. 
Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Ill. 62864.
