Jessie Strattan - Mt. Vernon
Mrs. Jessie Mae Strattan, 93, of 419 N. Johnson Avenue died
at 7:45 a.m. yesterday in the Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mrs. Strattan was born in Middletown on July 22, 1878, the
daughter of William T. and Laura D. (Vincent) Adams.
She was married to Keith T. Strattan on June 1, 1899.
Mr. Strattan died in 1928.
Mrs. Strattan was a past president of the Ladies Aid of the
Methodist church and the former head of the Jefferson County Red Cross.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Morton (Lavina) Laird of Montpelier,
Vt.: two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Myers Chapel with
the Rev. Clyde Funkhouser officiating. Private burial will be in the Oakwood cemetery.
The family requests that no flowers be sent, but that contributions to the Memorial
Fund at the First United Methodist church would be appreciated.
