Ruby F. Watts

Ruby F. Watts, 71, of Mt. Vernon died 1:20 a.m. Oct. 12, 1996, at 
St. Anthony Hospital in St. Louis.  She was retired from International Shoe Company.   

Mrs. Watts was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Harvey and 
Irene (Black) Fryar.  Nov. 15, 1947, in Mt. Vernon, she married Billy C. Watts, who 
died March 19, 1978.  

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Buss Hart officiating.  
Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday 
at Hughey Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Watts is survived by daughters, Diana Gonzales of Chicago, and Barbara Justice of 
Mt. Vernon; son, Philip Watts of Norfolk, Va., six grandchildren, Ricky Gonzales in the 
U. S. Marine Corps, Mario Gonzales, Teresa Gonzales, Angela Cerrillos, Vincent Justice and 
Veronica Justice; brother Ben Fryar and wife Emma of Mt. Vernon; sisters Wilma Hungate of 
Mt. Vernon and Sylvia Gray of Seward; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was a member of the V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary. 

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Melvin Fryar, and 
two sisters, Delcie Nance and Agnes Fryar.
