Mabel Ann Wells
Of West Plains, Mo. Died
At Age 95
Mabel Ann Wells, 95, West Plains, Mo., and formerly of Mt. Vernon,
died 8:45 a.m. Jan. 29, 1989, at West View Nursing Home in West Plains,, Mo.
Mrs. Wells was born Jan. 26, 1894, in Jefferson County, a daughter of
James and Carolyn (Mason) Quinn. Feb. 14, 1912, in Jefferson County,
she married Terrell Wells who died June 25, 1961.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home with J. Howard Kraps
officiating. Burial will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wells is survived by two daughters, Nina Vern Byard of Urbana and
Mrs. Lavern (Maxine) Stewart of West Plains, Mo.; four grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister,
Mary Martin of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wells was a member of Central Christian Church.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Bernadine Wells;
and several brothers and sisters.
