KILLED NEAR KELL
Charles Wilkes, an old resident of Jefferson county, was killed
near his home close to Kell, Friday morning. Mr. Wilkes went out
in the morning to haul some logs and no more had been seen of him
until he was found that evening. The cause of his death was attributed
to a mule kicking him and instantly killing him.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon.
