John Williams of Marlow Dies at Age 89 Years John I. Williams, 89, of Marlow, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Bluford Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion Frank and the Rev. Ray Kelley will officiate and burial will be in Black Oak Ridge cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Bluford Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 8:00 o'clock tonight. Mr. Williams was born Oct. 10, 1880, in Mt. Vernon township, the son of Samuel B. and Sarah (Rich) Williams. He was married to Anna Belle Marlow, who preceded him in death in 1959. Mr. Williams was a retired dairy farmer and had been a member of Jefferson Lodge number 368 A.F. and A.M. for 61 years. Survivors include two sons, Gerald Williams, of Mt. Vernon, and Paul Williams, of Marlow; two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Davis and Mrs. Cecile Pasley, both of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Vina Frank, of West Frankfort; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one brother and one sister.
