Mrs. Belva Rita YEARWOOD, wife of Samuel J Yearwood, died at 11:15 o'clock 
this morning at her home 11th St. and Park Ave. She had observed her 88th birthday 
only six days ago. 
Funeral arrangements were incomplete. However the body will lie in state at Myers Chapel. 
Mrs. Yearwood was born Nov. 3, 1855, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John 
Yearwood. She was a lifetime resident of this city. She was a member of the Park Avenue 
Baptist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Addie Lisenby 
of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Lola Starkey of Peru, Ill. and Mrs. Annie Whitsell of Terre Alto, W. VA.; 
one son, Robert Yearwood of Mt. Vernon, 23 grandchildren and 15 great  grandchildren.
