Max Arthur Yearwood

Max Arthur "Hooks" YEARWOOD, 74, 425 N. 9th St.., died at 10:40 a.m., 
Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a retired carman for the Wabash 
Railroad in Decatur. Mr. YEARWOOD was born in Mt. Vernon, May 11, 1907, 
the son of John Robert and Almeda (Lisenby) YEARWOOD. 
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Myers-Baril Chapel with 
burial following in East Salem Cemetery. Mr. Yearwood was an Army veteran of 
World War II,serving in the 182nd Division of Paratroopers. Survivors include one 
brother, Bob YEARWOOD of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Flora CONDOR of Decatur; 
and several nieces and nephews. Mr. YEARWOOD was a Protestant. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a sister.
