Raleigh and Susie (Joy) Mayo


My grandparents, Raleigh and Susie (Joy) Mayo were married in 
Mount Vernon on April 27, 1918.  
The Mayo family arrived in Mount Vernon after the 
Spanish-American War from Enfield and Missouri.  
The Joy family has a longer history in Mt Vernon

The young boy is my father, Joy Aaron Mayo 
with his mother in the early 1920s.  
Dad never mentioned he had a dog.
