Ivanhoe Church

The Ivanhoe Congregational Church is located on Highway 176 just west of Highway 60/83 in Ivanhoe, Illinois. This Fremont Township church is the oldest organized church in the county. Address and phone: Ivanhoe Congregational Church, 21078 W. Hwy. 176, Mundelein, IL 60060; 847-566-5204.

Early books from the church have been microfilmed and are available for research at the LCIGS Genealogy Room at the Fremont Public Library. The early books are mainly of historic interest and do not contain sacramental records.

The Ivanhoe Cemetery is located directly west of the church. The Lake County IL Genealogical Society has published a reading of the cemetery and it is available for purchase through the society. Check their publications list here.
