Mrs. Amelia Burrill, 638 Joliet street. died At half past. six o'clock last evening at her home following, a lingering illness: due principally to her advanced age. She had been gradually failing in health for several months past and the members of her family realized for weeks that it was merely a question of time until the end came.

Mrs. Burrill was born in Gloucestershire, England, June 9, 1831, and died just three weeks after celebrating the 86th anniversary of her birth. She came to America with her parents at the age of seven years, and resided in Pennsylvania during the early years of her life. She was married in that state to Richard Heath. Her parents returned to England soon after her marriage, and she and her husband came to Illinois about 1860. This state was her home since Mr. Heath died in LaSalle in 1871.

To this union were born ten children, six of whom survive. Three passed away in infancy and her oldest son, Jesse Heath, died in 1909. Those surviving are Mrs. Sarah Tregay of La Salle, Mrs. Elizabeth Bainter of Topeka. Kas., Mrs. Eliza Lambert of Oglesby, Misses Laura and Myra Heath and George Heath of LaSalle. There are also 18 grandchildren. She was married the second time on the 29th of April, 1890, to William Burrill, who passed away in 1898, since which time she has resided with her daughters, Laura and Myra, at 636 Joliet street. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

The funeral, which will be by auto, will be held at four o'clock Sunday afternoon from the residence. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
