The Lake County Illinois Genealogical Society (LCIGS) will perform limited look-ups concerning Lake County, Illinois in the following resources:
 

Birth Records	1866-1915
Cemetery Books	- Antioch Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes Benedictine Abbe, Grass Lake, Hickory, Union, Hillside, and Mount Carmel.  - Avon Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes Avon Centre, Druce, Fort Hill, Cranberry Lake, Grayslake, and St. Joseph.  - Fremont  Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes St. Mary's Fremont Center, 1865-1980, and Transfiguration 1865-1980.  - Grant Township Cemeteries:  Includes Grant, St. Bede's Cemetery Inscriptions.  - Lake Villa Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes Angola, East Fox Lake, Home Oaks, and Sand Lake.  - Libertyville Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes Lakeside, St. Mary's of the Lake Seminary, Ascension, and Lake County Poor Farm.  - Vernon Township Cemetery Inscriptions:  Includes Diamond Lake 1853-1998, Gridley Family 1835-1931, Vernon/Half Day, Knopf, Long Grove, and St. Mary's of Buffalo Grove.   - Warren Township Cemeteries:  Includes Warren Tombstone Inscriptions and Burial Records 1839-1995.  - Wauconda Township Cemeteries:   Includes St. Peter's in Volo, Fisher Family, Hope Grove (Shaw Family), Volo, Wauconda & Slocum.  - Lake County IL Veterans of the Armed Forces of U.S. buried Prior to July 1, 1955

Each request must be specific in nature. A fee will be charged on the basis of looking up information on one specific person and at this time the charge of $10.00 per topic including the copies as specified on the lookups request form.  Payment must be received in advance of copies being sent.  U.S. residents must include SASE.

No genealogical look-up can guarantee positive search results.  We only agree that the resources requested will be searched.  You will be notified of the results of your look-up whether they are positive or negative in nature.  If you have a difficult or complex problem, or wish to have your research include a written analysis of sources checked, you will need to hire a researcher.  The society does not perform these tasks.  The society can provide you with a list of researchers who do this type of work. See researchers.

The society will not provide copies of whole publications or violate copyright law.  If you wish to have a complete copy of a LCIGS publication, please purchase it from our publication list. See publications.

The society respects the privacy of living individuals.  Please do not ask us to research living people.

If you wish look-ups to be done on more than one person please complete a request form for each person and include additional fees.
