I am searching for additional onformation on the Mullins family of Lee County. My Great-Great-Grandfather Robert MULLINS and his wife Sarah (ULYETT) Mullins immigrated to Lee county from Woodhall, Yorkshire, England some time after their marriage in 1834. They had 8 children. Juliana (named after Roberts mother) b 1836, Mary b 1839, George (my Great-Grandfather) b 1842, John b 1844, Robert F. b 1846, William b 1848, Henry b 1850 and Thomas b 1851. I am researching information on the other seven siblings. George married Mary Ann BOSTOCK. They also had 8 children. Sarah b 1868, Emma Louise b 1870, William Robert (my Grandfather) b 1872, Robert b 1874, George b 1878, Maude b 1878 (twin?), Mary Ann b 1880 and Ester b 1882. My grandmother's maiden name used to be JOHNSON. Her father was Robert Graves JOHNSON and was born on Aug. 17, 1897. Her mother's name was Rachel Irene BARLOW-JOHNSON and she was born on May 5, 1895. Robert's parent(s) were James D. JOHNSON. This is the only one I know, I don't have a wife's name on James JOHNSON. Rachel (BARLOW) JOHNSON'S parents names were Victor BARLOW and Addie BARLOW. I know my grandmother was born in Ashton, Illinois in the mid 1920's and I know all of her brothers & sisters. But all of the family was from Amboy, Illinois. From what my grandmother has told me, she thinks her BARLOW/JOHNSON family was from Amboy, Illinois, and was always from Amboy, Illinois. This is all she remember's. If there is anyone who could give me any information on this family, I would greatly appreciate it. I have searched and searched and have come to a standstill everytime. I am looking for information of Inger HOLT'S son Samuel aka Solomon HOLT who died in 1940-unknown where. Inger died 10 August 1940 in Alto township Lee Cty Il. I have her death certificate, probate file and picture of tombstone. She is buried in Union Cemetary along with her husband Jakob Mikel and son Joseph who died in 1917-unknown where. She had the following children living when she died. David Stephen Callan buried at Franklin Grove Cemetary. Died in 1928. Son of Ellen Callan Stanton. Raised in Lee County. Does anyone know anything about the CALLAN-family. He was half-brother of Frances MONG. Is the old farm that I visited in 1968 still owned by the Mong family? I think they had bees there as well as raising crops. I am researching the Jones family that settled in Franklin Grove in the 1850's. Augustus JONES and his wife Mary BEDELL came from Canada with several members of their family. Augustus died in Franklin Grove in 1857; Mary and her children were enumerated in the 1860 census. One daughter, Mary Jones, married Conrad DURKES. Looking for primarily for information on VREDENBURGH, FREDENBURG, BINGAMAN. Henry and Almena (Seelye)Vredenburgh left Wayne County NY for Amboy, Lee County in 1843. Their children were Charlotte, Lucinda, Mary J., Charles, Elias, Anna, Eleanor, Ruth Ann, William Henry, Caroline and Elijah. By 1860 they had moved to Ogle County. Henry's brother, George and wife, Sallie (Converse), in 1860 were living in Dixon with their children Eliza, Emily, Willis and George - they spelled their name Fredenburg. Three of Henry's daughters, Mary J., Ruth Ann, and Anna married three brothers, Geroge, Henry and Elias Bingaman. Anna lived in the area until her death in 1891, she is buried in Carroll County. Her husband, Elias, served in Company K during the Civil War. Ruth Ann and Henry with Henry's brother, William Bingaman, moved to Yuma County Colorado around 1890. Charlotte married Edward McGraw in 1844, in Lee County. Lucinda married William Hoisington in 1850 in Dixon. Eliza married Augustus Spect in 1860 in Lee County. Henry Vredenburgh with his wife and Elias, Charles, Eleanor, William and Caroline moved in 1862 to Harrison County, IA.

Henry Isaac LINCOLN was a merchant in Franklin Grove, Lee Co, IL. He was born 22 Aug 1822 in Genesee Co, NY, to John L. LINCOLN and Lydia GIFFORD. He and his brother, Royal Orlando LINCOLN, moved to Kendall Co, Illinois in 1847, bringing a wagon of nursery stock with them. He married 28 Oct 1850 to Mary MC FARLAND. R.O. remained there but about 1853 Henry relocated to Franklin Grove. In Apr 1857 he married again, to Helen May NAY BARTHOLF. His children were: John Henry, Charles Frank, Hattie McFarland (KEYSER), Abraham, and James Henry. He died 24? 25? Jun 1904. Henry and Helen May are buried in Franklin Grove. Seeking information on the SULLIVAN and DOWNEY families. My great grand mother, Mary May SULLIVAN was born in May 1850 in Ohio Twp, Bureau, IL to Patrick and Rose(DOWNEY) who were both born in Ireland and came separately to the US with their parents. They either met and/or married in IN or IL. They had other children who died in infancy. After Rose's death, Patrick married Mary Ann O'NEAL in 1856 in Lee county but were still residing in Ohio Twp in 1860 where they had eight more children. After 1860, I lose the family. An Elkhart history book said he moved to Mo. Any information on Catholic churches in existence in the 1840s-1880s would be helpful, the diocese this area is in, along with information if the church records are available on microfilm. Thanks

I am looking for infomation about GOBLE and RADLEY. Ezra T. Goble was born in Paw Paw, he had two daughters Adele and Katherine and a son Arthur Steen Goble. Adele was my grandmother. Ezra was a Doctor in Earlville in the late 1800s and his children were born in Earlville. I know that my Great Aunt Kit was a school teacher in Earlville for many years and was married to Alfred J.
