This cemetery adjoins St. John's Lutheran cemetery and is located just outside the Beardstown city limits on the Beardstown-Chandlerville road.

The Cass County Historical & Genealogical Society has produced a number of Cemetery Transcription Books. Oetgen Cemetery is included in the Beardstown Township Cemetery Book.
