Note from Allen: The pictures I've been sending are pretty low resolution, if any one wants print quality I would be happy to send them a copy.
This cemetery includes an old section which contains many burials prior to 1850. Consequently,
there are a good many stones which have weathered to the point of now being illegible. There are also
a number of others which are broken, with the pieces missing - also making it
difficult to determine whose grave the stone marks.
This listing is not complete. Very few burials made during the middle 1980s through the
current year are included here. Two additional sources of information include: "Greene County Illinois Cemeteries",
published by the Greene Co., Illinois Historical & Genealogical Society and a brand new publication
which is an addendum to the Greene County Cemetery Books, published by Edna McMahan Secrest. The Society
publication includes additional information for many, if not most, of the
interments, such as maiden names, parents, etc. Mrs. Secrest's newest
publication contains hundreds of additional burials (most which have occurred since
the cemetery books were published. Both are excellent sources of additional information
to researchers.
