Lucile A. Spencer, 91, of East Peoria, and formerly of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Rosewood Nursing Home in East Peoria. She was born July 24, 1913 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Lawrence F. and Lillian Maier O'Donnell. She married Glenn E. Spencer Oct. 20, 1934 at the Church of Our Saviour Rectory in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by three sons, Bill (wife, Carilyn) Spencer of Mt. Vernon, Dick (wife, Donna) Spencer of Peoria, and Bob (wife, Cathy) Spencer of Montgomery; two daughters, Carol Ann (husband, Gary) Lancaster of Monroe, Georgia, and Marilyn (husband, Ronald) Lunnemann of St. Louis; twelve grandchildren, Jeff Spencer, Susan Throgmorton, Brian Lancaster, Laura Peters, Pam Conforti, Jonathan Spencer, Joe Spencer, Beth Pulfer, Spencer Lunnemann, Michael Lunnemann, Douglas Lunnemann and Theresa Lunnemann; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Spencer was a 1931 graduate of Routt High School and attended MacMurray College. She was a member of the Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville and was currently attending St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria; and had held memberships in the American Legion Auxiliary and Morgan County Fair Auxiliary.

Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at the Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville, with burial at Martin's Prairie Cemetery east of Roodhouse. Friends called after 1 p.m. Friday at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, where the family met friends following a 5:45 p.m. prayer service, until 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation or Martin's Prairie Cemetery Association.
