COOK, CHARITY BELL CHATT

Services Held For Mrs. John Cook

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 25, for Mrs. John Cook, who passed away at 10:50 a.m. Sunday at her home west of White Hall after an extended illness.

Charity Bell Chatt Cook was born Aug. 12, 1892, at Wrights, Ill., daughter of Jesse and Mary Fitzsimmons Guthrie and married John Cook on Sept. 9, 1911.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Floyd E., Roodhouse; Verne R., St. Louis; one daughter, Mrs. George Gilleland, White Hall; one brother, J. P. Guthrie, Wrights; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Cook, White Hall; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cook was a member of the United Pentecostal church of Roodhouse.

Remains were taken to the Mackey Funeral Home.

The services, held at the Pentecostal Church, White Hall, were conducted by the Rev. Ralph Dooley, pastor at Roodhouse, Charles Rigdon, pastor at White Hall, and Victor DeSha pastor at Hillview. Music was provided by the Pedigo quartet, Royce Pedigo, Soloist, and Mrs. Royce Pedigo, accompanist.

Casket bearers were Oscar Smith, Glenn Coates, Willis Wyatt, Jack Sullivan, Glenn Schutz, and Nobel Schutz.

Interment was in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
