Rick Damm
BRIGHTON -- Rick L. Damm, 44, died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 1, 1956, in Buffalo, Mo., he was a son of David and Katherine (Woodard) Damm of Carlinville.
The former Carlinville resident was owner-operator of an over-the-road tractor semi-trailer and was leased to Southern-Pride Trucking Co. in San Diego, Calif. The Army veteran had been a truck driver for 22 years. He loved the St. Louis Rams football team and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He and the former Regina "Regi" Smith were united in marriage Dec. 31, 1987, in St. Petersburg, Fla. She survives.
In addition to his widow and parents, surviving are a son, Matthew Koehler of Haine City, Fla.; two stepsons, Ray Sutherland and Michael Sean Brophy, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Debbie Eggemeyer of Ellis Grove, Brenda Damm of Medora and Shanda Weller of Palmyra; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, where the Rev. Tim Hunt will officiate at services at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Wrights.
Carlinville Area Hospital Hospice Unit has been named a memorial.
