The former Annetta Marie Mace, formerly of Berdan and of Greenfield was daughter of M/Mrs. Isaac Mace. Married in 1916 to Troy Kesinger of Greenfield. Leaves a baby 8 weeks old. Was a niece of Mrs W. D. Bowie of this city."

Annetta Marie Mace, youngest daughter of Mrs. and the late I. M. Mace was born at Berdan, Ill. August 13, 1895, and departed this life in her home in Wood River, Illinois, Saturday, March 27th, 1920., at the age of 24 years, 5 months and 11 days.
She was converted at the age of 16 years and united with the Baptist church at Greenfield, Illinois. She was graduated from Greenfield high school in the class of 1914. She taught one term of school at Pleasant Point.
January 2nd, 1916, she was united in marriage to Troy Kesinger, and to this union were born two children, Kathryn Dean, who died at birth and Doris Maryn, eight weeks old, who with the husband, mother, one brother, Wm. I. Mace of White Hall, and one sister Mrs. Frank Greer of Kampsville survive.
Shortly after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kesinger moved to Wood River and united with the Baptist church there. Although not charter members, they began work there in the church's infancy,. She held various important offices in the church and always performed them efficiently.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Wood River Baptist church, Rev. M. T. Webb officiating. Interment was made in the White Hall cemetery. Monday at 1:30 and the large number of friends from Greenfield, Berdan and Roodhouse who were waiting there were a testimony to popularity. The floral offerings were many and Beautiful.

"Mrs Elizabeth Kesinger, age 72, widow of Charles A. Kesinger, was found dead at home in Wrights September 11, 1927. Lived alone and when one of her grandchildren went to her home Sunday morning, she was found cold in death, lying near the door, dressed in her night clothes, apoplexy, cause of death.
Daughter of Lucretia and Steven Andrews, born in Greene County, Illinois November 5, 1854. Married Charles A. Kesinger, February 5, 1874, he died July 20, 1919. Mother of five children, one son, Oda, dying in infancy. Surviving children are: Virginia wife of W. K. Mosier, Beardstown, Guy L. Curtis of Wrights and Bert of White Hall. Also leaves on sister Mrs. Ella Cunningham of Wrights and 13 grandchildren. Funeral at home, burial Hickory Grove Cemetery."

Died In East St. Louis
L. S. Short was called to East St. Louis Saturday afternoon by the dangerous illness of his sister, Elizabeth, wife of Thomas J. Kesinger. She had been ill with rheumatic fever for some seven weeks, but her condition did not become alarming until Friday, and on the following Sunday evening she died in the Henrietta hospital in that city where she had been taken that she might receive the best of medical treatment. She was born and raised in the Short vicinity and at the time of her death was aged about forty-three years. She is survived by her husband and three boys and two girls. The family had removed to East St. Louis from White Hall some two years ago where her husband is employed as buyer in the National Stock yards for Campbell, Baldwin & Co. Her body was taken to their home in Wrights on Tuesday where funeral services were conducted in the Baptist church. Internment was in Hickory Grove cemetery.

Son of Daniel and Rachel Kesinger, born in state of Kentucky September 6, 1838. Parents moved to Illinois when he was a small boy. On December 23, 1859 married Martha M. Mann, to this union eleven children born.
Body brought here from Wood River and services held at home of his son T. J., burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

-"Mrs. J. C. Kesinger, age 71, died at her home September 24, 1912. Eldest daughter of Thomas and Mary Mann was born in Warren County, Ohio.
December 24, 1859, married J. C. Kessinger, who survives and eleven children born to this union, three dying in infancy children are: Frank of Jericho neighborhood, Thomas J. of E. St. Louis, Ina, wife of Harry Witt; Abbie, wife of A. V. Knapp; Harry, Jake and Benjamin, all of Wrights and vicinity. Following services burial was made in Hickory Grove Cemetery."

-"Mrs. Mary Kesinger, age 76, widow of Woodford T. Kesinger died at home of son W. L. Kesinger in Wyoming December 28, 1924. Body was brought to her old home at Wrights for funeral and burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Jackson, born in Jersey County, Illinois November 3, 1848. Married to W. T. Kesinger in 1868, three children to this union, one died in infancy, survivors: Edward Kesinger of Wrights and W. L. of Wyoming, with whom she had resided since the death of her husband, several years ago."

"Mrs. Guy L. Kesinger, age 40 died at Our Saviours Hospital, Jacksonville December 7, 1922, brought to home of her parents, Col. & Mrs. W. V. Rhodes, this city, funeral at Presbyterian Church, burial White Hall Cemetery.
Nona Pearl Rhodes, daughter of William V. and Mary E. Batty-Rhodes was born 1/2 miles north of Wrights, January 26, 1882. In June 1904 she married Guy Kesinger, who survives. Surviving brothers are William O., Ernest V., James K., all of White Hall, Howard E. of Tuscola, Illinois. One sister, Mrs. B. R. Kesinger resides at Wrights, one brother Clinton Rhodes died in 1906."

"Porter F. Kesinger, one of the oldest residents of Wrights, died on the 20th. Born in Barren County, Kentucky October 15. 1836. Was 80 years old. He and Sarah E. Mann were married in 1863. Survived by wife and five children.

Porter F. Kesinger who died at his home in Wrights Nov. 20, was born in Barren county, Kentucky, Oct. 15, 1836, his age at the time of his death being 80 years, 1 month and 5 days. He was married to Sarah E. Mann July 30, 1863, and she and five children are left to mourn his death. The children are B. F. and G. M. Kesinger and Mrs. Cora Maberry, of White Hall; Mrs. James Foster, of St. Louis, and John C., at home. Mr. Kesinger had been a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist church for many years and was a well known character of that section. Rev. T. N. Marsh conducted the funeral services and the interment was in the Hickory Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Troy Kesinger died at her home in Denver, Colo., on Sunday Feb. 22, after an illness of only five days with Pneumonia. Her body was brought back to this city, arriving here Wednesday night, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Vincent on Thursday morning at 11 a.m., the interment being in the North cemetery.
The maiden name of the deceased was Ruby Cooper, she being the daughter of George and Claire (Davidson) Cooper. She was born near Wrights, Ill. Oct. 31, 1889, her age being 24 years, 3 months and 22 days.
She was married to Troy Kesinger and they resided in the Greenfield area for a number of years. A year or two since she and her husband removed to Denver, Colo., where they have since resided. Last summer she underwent a long siege of typhoid fever, but recovered and was in unusually robust health up to the time she was stricken down. The high altitude out there caused the fever to affect her heart and she only survived five days after the Pneumonia set in. She is survived by her husband and a four-year-old son and one brother. She had professed a faith in Christ and had been a consistent member of the Hickory Grove Baptist church for several years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, one who lived a Christ-like life. She was conscious to the last and died with a smile on her lips and with the expressed assurance to loved ones that "all is well."
