Stella Nettles

WASHINGTON, Mo. -- Stella Nettles, 92, formerly of Greenfield and Carrollton, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Grandview Nursing Home in Washington.

She was born Oct. 14, 1908, in White Hall, a daughter of Walter and LeNora (Ridings) Pruiett.

A licensed practical nurse, she was a member of Carrollton Methodist Church and enjoyed crafts.

She married William Benjamin Nettles June 22, 1928. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Don Bezold of Washington, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Herron and Maude Kirgan; a brother, Othel Pruiett; two sons, Clinton and William Benjamin Jr.; and a daughter, Wanda Murphy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Shields Memorial Home in Greenfield, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery near Wrights.
