MEEK, BERNICE M. DYER

WHITE HALL - Bernice M. Meek, 75, of rural White Hall, died Saturday evening, Aug. 23, 1997, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Haypress, the daughter of Benjamin and Lucinda (Rimbey) Dyer.

She married Dean Phaon Meek on July 12, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo., and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1995.

She is survived by three sons, Kim (wife, Melanie) Meek of Carrollton, Jerry (wife, Shirley) Meek of Buena Vista, Colo., and Lane Meek of White Hall; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dean Dyer of White Hall.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin.

Mrs. Meek was a member of the Walkerville Baptist Church.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hopewell Cemetery, north of Carrollton.

Memorials are suggested to the Walkerville Baptist Church.

Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.
