Dean Phaon Meek, 80, of White Hall died Thursday evening, July 6, 1995, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born June 3, 1915, in Carrollton, son of Meuburn and Minnie DeShasier Meek. He married Bernice Dyer July 12, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo. She survives.

He is also survived by three sons, Jerry of Buena Vista, Colo., Lane of White Hall and Kim of Carrollton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Forrest "Frosty."

Mr. Meek was foreman for IDOT 25 years before retiring in 1982.

Graveside services were 3 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Cemetery north of Carrollton. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
