Aleata Taylor
Aleata Taylor, 85, of Patterson, died Saturday, June 21, (1986) at White Hall Hospital.
She was born Dec. 4, 1900, in Patterson, a daughter of Ed and Viola Foreman Taylor.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Taylor of Patterson and Mrs. Janice Ferguson of Roodhouse; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Taylor of Waukegan.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Roodhouse and a former member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor were held at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall Tuesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. Rev. Elmer mcElroy officiated, with Rev. William Martin assisting. Vocalists were Ruth Lemon and J. D. Garner. They sang "When They Ring Those Golden Bells". Organist was Gladys Huff.
Pallbearers were Cletus Taylor, Richard Ferguson, Robyn Taylor, Jerry Ferguson, Regan Ferguson, and Billy Ferguson.
Burial was in Patterson Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Emmanual Baptist Church.
