Thompson aka Doyle Cemetery

Roodhouse Township - Greene County, IL

Formerly called Doyle Cemetery, directions to this burial ground are as follows: Beginning at the junction of Routes 67 and 106 at the north edge of White Hall in Greene County, Ill, then north on Route 106 (1075 East) 4 and 4/10 miles to Barrow Road (2700 North), then east (right) 6/10 mile to a lane, then north (left) for 2/10 miles to the cemetery. The last 2/10 mile should not be considered an all weather road. The cemetery is west of the railroad tracks and on the north side of a good road. Williams-Edwards Cemetery will be found about one mile further west, on the south side of the road. Many thanks to Terry Barnard for the photographs above and linked to the listing below and for the directions provided here. Terry finished the new reading of this cemetery on 2 Sept 2010. It appears that some of the stones and foot stones which were previously located here have since disappeared.
