BUCHANAN, JAMES RICHARD

James Richard "Joe" Buchanan, 49, of Roodhouse died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 14, 1954, in Carrollton, the son of Claude Richard and Bessie Belle (Seymour) Buchanan. He married Marilyn Jo Newingham in 1972. He later married Marcia Ann Foiles in 1993.

He is survived by three daughters, Lisa Marie (husband Dave) Hill of Browning, Teresa Renee Buchanan of Roodhouse, and Tiffany Jo Buchanan of Greenview; a son, Billy Joe Buchanan of Texas; five grandchildren, Tori, Gregory, Abby, Clayton and Abby; a brother, Carl McMillen of Alton; and three sisters, Ruth Ann Brown of White Hall, Vanessa Buchanan of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Brenda Buchanan of White Hall.

Mr. Buchanan attended White Hall schools. He served in the U.S. Army, and worked for Dow Chemical in Michigan, Roodhouse Envelope, Pactiv, and ICG Rail.

Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Williams-Edwards Cemetery in Barrow.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall was in charge of arrangements.

BUCHANAN SERVICES

Vernon Newingham officiated at 3 p.m. graveside; services Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, for James R. "Joe" Buchanan, 49, of Roodhouse, at Williams-Edwards Cemetery. Barb Newingham sang "Let's Go Down to the River and Pray."

Casketbearers were Raymond Schofield, Jeff Taylor, Brian Piper, Dale Newingham, Greg Holtz, Ron Gaffney and Rusty Popplewell.

Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall was in charge of arrangements.
