BUSHNELL, MURL DEAL

Murl D. Bushnell

ROODHOUSE - Murl Dean Bushnell, 72, of rural Roodhouse died at 2 a.m. Saturday (March 2, 1991) at his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, Roodhouse. Burial will be in Williams-Edwards Cemetery, near Roodhouse.

Surviving are his wife, Capitola Ardene King Bushnell; three sons, Larry of Roodhouse, Gary and Terry, both of rural Roodhouse; three daughters, Karen Ferguson-Black of Roodhouse, Linda Turner of Riverton and Leah Thomas of White Hall; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl E. Bushnell of White Hall and Curtis Bushnell of Wichita Falls, Texas; and six sisters, Lucille King and Audrey Ontis, both of Carrollton, Pauline O'Kelly of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Virginia Whitlock of Cane, Ruth Adcock of Eldred and Doris DeShasier of White Hall.


BUSHNELL, EARL E.

Earl E. Bushnell
1919-1999

WHITE HALL - Earl E. Bushnell, 80, of White Hall died early Sunday morning, Oct. 17, 1999, at the White Hall Multicare Center in White Hall.

He was born Jan. 4, 1919, in Alsey, the son of Harry E. and Gladys Leah Day Bushnell.

He married Ann M. Barnett in Alton and she preceded him in death on June 24, 1986.

He is survived by one brother, Curtis Bushnell of Wichita Falls, Tex., five sisters, Lucille King of Jerseyville, Pauline Lemon of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Virginia Whitlock of Kane, Ruth Adcock of Carrollton and Doris DeShasier of Beckemeyer. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Murl, and one sister, Audrey Ontis.

Mr. Bushnell worked for the railroad out of Venice for many years, retiring in 1975. He was a former member of the Piasa Masonic Lodge, then transferred his membership to the White Hall Masonic Lodge no. 80, A.F. & A.M. He attended church services regularly at the nursing home since he was admitted there in 1986.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse with burial at Williams-Edwards Cemetery near Barrow. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where public Masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Williams-Edwards Cemetery.

BUSHNELL SERVICES

Funeral services for Earl Bushnell were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse with the Rev. Gerald Phillips officiating. Vocalist Kathy barrow sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Peace In The Valley." accompanied by organist Jean Coates. Pallbearers wee Larry Crum Jr., Lonnie Crum, Eric Turner, Trevor Bushnell, Ryan Bushnell, Seth Bushnell and Austin Bushnell. Honorary pallbearers were Ashly Thomas, Micah Bushnell, Richard Icide and Rob Muller. Burial was at the Williams-Edwards Cemetery near Barrow. Masonic services were conducted by the White Hall Masonic Lodge No. 80 Tuesday evening at the funeral home with Charles Rhoades, worshipful master; Rick Bridges, secretary; and Richard Young, chaplain.


BUSHNELL, ANN M. BARNETT

Ann Bushnell

Ann M. Bushnell, 68, of Godfrey, died at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 1986, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County.

She was born in Carrollton, daughter of the late James and Leva (Powell) Barnett.

She was a retired registered nurse, and married Earl Bushnell in January 1979, in Wood River.

Her husband survives.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday by Rev. Gerald Phillips.

Burial will be in Williams-Edwards Cemetery, near Roodhouse.

The American Cancer Society has been designated as a memorial.
