W. Fletcher Smith
Of White Hall dies
White Hall --- W. Fletcher Smith, 68, R.R. 1, White Hall died early Sunday morning, June 17, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1915 in Greene County, a son of Emery D. and Allie C. Cuddy Smith. He married Dorothy J. Gibler on Sept. 18, 1949 in White Hall and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Mrs. Roland (Debbie) Drainer, Eldred; a son: David N. Smith, White Hall, and a cousin: Mrs. Carmaleen Barker, Roodhouse.
He farmed for 45 years in the White Hall area and was a member of the First Baptist Church, White Hall Eastern Star, Guiding Star Chapter 232 and White Hall Masonic Lodge 88.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mackey-Daws Funeral Home, White Hall, with burial in Williams-Edwards Cemetery. Visitation 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
