From the Gazette-Patriot, Carrollton, IL, Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002 - from an article dealing with Greene County Days.
Located in Section 6 of Rubicon Township, this cemetery shows evidence of one grave, an old stone with a weeping willow on it. The stone is broken in half, but the design and the lettering remain readable. The grave belongs to James Wriston, who died Dec. 1, 1837, at 31 years of age. He is believed to have come to Illinois from the Kentucky and Tennessee area, with his brothers who were fluent in Indian dialects.
