Wayne Bourland, 64, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Hospice of Arizona in Peoria. He was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Alton to Ralph and Velma (Hanks) Bourland.
He married the former Juiquita Woods Dec. 21, 1962, at Brighton First Presbyterian Church. She survives.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was an aircraft electrician in Bethalto and worked in maintenance at a senior residence in Peoria.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dawn Vaughn; a son, Jason Bourland, both of Peoria; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Bourland and family of Troy, Ill., and Dexter Bourland and family of St. Louis; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Wayne Bourland.
Per his wishes, the body will be cremated.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Asbury Cemetery in Brighton. The Rev. Thomas Olney will officiate.
Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery.
