BETHEL CEMETERY

Our thanks to Richard Sanson who recently visited this small cemetery, took photographs of the stones and then prepared the listing given here. Bethel Cemetery is located approximately 1 mile south and 1.5 miles west of Hettick in Macoupin County, Illinois. There is no identifying name or sign for the cemetery. A note from Richard - "I was told several years ago, upon my first visit to the Bethel Cemetery, that the church which has been located very close to the cemetery had been torn down a couple of years before - which would be the 1993 - 1996 time frame." This small well tended cemetery is located near the intersections of Clark & Hillcrest Roads in the southwest 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of section 3 of Western Mound township.
