SHEPARDSON, MARY BOSSOMWORTH

Mary Bossomworth Shepardson was born December 19, 1859 at Erensville, Morgan County, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Anne Bossomworth. She was married to William Shepardson, January 13, 1881, and to this union five children were born, three of whom are still living: Piercy D. of St. Louis, Mary Louise Goacher of Waverly, and Charles Shepardson of Springfield. Two daughters preceded her in death, Edith M. Clark of Memphis, Tenn., and Nellie Gladys.

Mrs. Shepardson was a resident of Franklin for the past 26 years, going there from Modesto. She was a member of the Christian church there.

Mrs. Shepardson died at the home of her son, Piercy, in St. Louis, last Saturday morning, after an illness of several weeks, aged 83 years.

In addition to her husband and children, she leaves 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Neece Funeral Home in Franklin Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Francis E. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Waverly.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Russell Haynes and Mrs. W. W. Gould, with Mrs. Hersey Crain as accompanist.

The pall bearers were Glen, Wayne and John Goacher, William and Clarence Shepardson and Lowell Wood.

Those caring for the flowers were Mrs. Glen Goacher, Mrs. Wayne Goacher, Mrs. Wm. Shepardson, Mrs. Clarence Shepardson and Mrs. Lowell Wood.

Burial was in the Horton cemetery near Modesto.
