This cemetery is located in Section 4, Hilyard Township, Macoupin County, IL. The photographs were compared to the listing published in "Tombstone Revelations in Macoupin County Illinois, Book V", compiled and
published by the Macoupin County Historical Society Committee in 1992, one of a number of excellent publications on the cemeteries of Macoupin County published by the society. Names appearing in the following listing, without
photographs were added from information found in their publication. Their publication also provided the following information about the cemetery itself "Located 1 mile north and 1/4 mile east
of Plainview in Section 4 of Hilyard Township. The first burial was of a young girl buried in 1830. Stone has now disappeared. Railroad construction workers who died from
cholera epidemic were buried in northeast coener of cemetery. No markers remain."
