Mrs. VanLandingham Is Taken by Death
Mrs. Blanch VanLandingham, 69, of 1214 Ridgely Ave., a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 1 a.m. yesterday at St. John's hospital where she was admitted Dec. 31 as a medical patient. Her death followed a prolonged illness.
She was born Nov. 26, 1879. On Jan 30, 1906, she was married to William VanLandingham. She was a member of the Kumler Methodist church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Forsyth, city; one son, Stuart, Missouri; three brothers, Hugh MacDonald, Texas; Tom and Frank MacDonald, both of city, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Vancil funeral home. Rev. P. B. Smith will officiate and burial will be in Hall cemetery at Athens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to time of services tomorrow.
