The Observer, Petersburg, Illinois, April 13, 1889

Ella Albers, daughter of Henry Albers, the north side boot and shoe merchant, died Friday morning, of scarlet fever, aged 12 years. This is a sad blow to Mr. Albers, as he but recently lost his wife, leaving him with a family of small children, deceased being the oldest girl, and a great help to him in the caring for the other children. He has the sympathy of many friends.
